Carlton Morris re-joins MK Dons

Striker Carlton Morris has re-signed for MK Dons from Norwich City on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old’s first stint at the club was interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, although he bagged two goals for the League One side in 10 matches.

“As soon as I heard the club were interested in extending the loan, it was an easy decision to make,” said Morris. “It was very unfortunate that the season was cut short because since joining in January I was having a great time. I got on well with the lads in the dressing room an felt a real connection with the fans and the football club in general.”

He added: “This is a club really on the up under the gaffer and with the squad that we’ve got. It’s an exciting time to be part of things and we’ll be looking as high as we can next season.”

A product of the Norwich City academy, Morris has only made just one appearance for the Canaries since joining the first team in 2014.

He has spent his entire career out on loan, having spells at Oxford United, York City, Hamilton Academical, Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town.

After having a previous loan spell in 2017, he returned to the New York Stadium for the first half of the season with Rotherham. He made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Millers and scored four goals.
