Jason Lowe Joins Salford

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jason Lowe has completed a move to fellow League Two outlets Salford City.

The 28-year-old has penned a three-year deal with the Ammies and is their third signing of the summer after Preston defender Tom Clarke and Fleetwood Town winger Ashley Hunter.

“It’s an exciting project” said the new signing. “An exciting challenge, one that I’m delighted to be on board with and I can’t wait to get going.

“Speaking with the manager they want promotion and it’s a simple as that, and as quickly as possible they want to be playing League One football next year.

“I share that ambition and I know the lads that are coming in share the same ambition, and the lads that are here will want to be on board with that, so to be part of that and fighting for that goal, I’m really delighted to be a part of it and hopefully add plenty in trying to achieve that.”

Manager Graham Alexander said: ““He’s another player we’ve brought in that fits the profile we’ve been looking for, a sort of captain, leader type to really strengthen the spine of the team.”

“He’s going to be another brilliant addition to the club.”

Lowe started his career at Blackburn Rovers, making 173 appearances for the club, scoring one goal. After a long spell with Oldham Athletic and a brief spell at Birmingham City, he made the move to Bolton Wanderers, where he made 64 appearances for the Whites.
