Carabao Cup First Round Draw
The Carabao Cup First Round draw has taken place with the start of the 2020/21 season beginning on 5/6 September.
The new season has already had drastic changes after 2019/20 was struck by the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes include the opening four rounds of the competition will be played out by the end of next month and the semi-finals will be only one leg.
The first round is split into Northern and Southern sections and 70 of the 72 EFL clubs will participate, with newly-relegated Championship sides Bournemouth and Watford receiving a bye into the second round.
